2010 Correllengua all populations of Mallorca will travel from April 17.

Palma, April 8 .- The Correllengua 2010, the sixth edition of this initiative, will travel from 17 April to 8 May all locations in Mallorca in a festive atmosphere with the aim of promoting the use of Catalan.

The association "Joves de Mallorca today introduced the activity and its spokesmen have called for the participation of all citizens, according to the organizer, sto credits, said in a statement.

The Correllengua is a non-competitive relay race that traverses Mallorca with different itineraries. With this new edition, the association expects the Mallorcan take to the streets to demonstrate the "vitality" of the Catalan language.

Participants carry a torch, the "Flame of the tongue", which passes from hand to hand between people of different age, sex, origin or ideology, representing the, ffxiv gil, continuity of the language.

The sixth edition will begin on Saturday April 17 at Lluc, coinciding with the meeting of members of the Obra Cultural Balear.
